On Karl-Anthony Towns and Knicks, there’s been plenty of conversation
between Knicks and Towns’ side. League source familiar with the matter said
talks have been positive and NYK has made it known that it wants Towns to be
a Knick for a long time, thinks highly of him. One data point: Knicks have
talked to Towns’ side about deals that start in $45M-$50M range, per SNY
sources.

ESPN reported that talks have hit a snag and that an extension before the
season is unlikely. Josh Hart also eligible for an extension as is Miles
McBride.
